WE ARE GOD’S AMBASSADOR, _ says provost

The Provost of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism Dr. (Mrs.) Elizabeth Ikem on Wednesday said “we are God’s ambassador.

She made this statement while delivery her message on the ladies day(sisters’ day) organised by His Grace Assembly Fellowship tagged “Ladies of worthy character” held at the institution fellowship auditorium.

She said christians are expected to stand out in terms of their character to shew forth the praise of God.

According to her, “we are God’s ambassador hence, abstainance from every appearance of evil should be our watch angle.

In addition, Dr. Elizabeth said every child of God is expected to be ten times better in all things and also a solution to poblems.

However, the provost enjoined the congregation to stand for righteousness and be always ready to pay the price of being an ambassador for God, noting that, all things are lawful but not expedient.

The provost while enumerating guidelines for being an ambassador, said we must have a heart for God, fear Him, desire to please Him and portray a quality character without which we cannot live for Him.
 
Also, she noted that ladies like Ruth, Esther and Rebecca renders awesome service to God which made them remarkable in the scripture, adding that with such footsteps followed, we would also be remarkable hence, God’s ambassador.

The provost while quoting Ist peter chapter 2:9-10 said “we are a choosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people urgeing that we should stand out and life a life worthy of emulation because we are the hope of tomorrow.”
